The Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs George Pullicino visited the Research & Development Centre within the Government Farm to mark the second Anniversary since the commencement of The Animal Welfare Department. The Minister also announced a legal notice making it compulsory for certain breeds such as pit bulls to be micro-chipped. This would ensure safer environments both for the dogs and for the general public.
