GĦARGĦUR - 21/03/2010

The Department was invited to participate in the Festa tal-Halib which was an event to celebrate the positive effects of fresh milk derived from the Maltese cows on the human’s health.
The Animal Welfare Stand was one of the many others which were on display, all promoting the goodness of natural, organic Maltese products.
For the event the Animal Welfare Team was present to give advice on how to provide first aid when encountering injured stray animals.
Some puppies which were accompanying the officers were lucky enough to be re homed and thus given a second chance to live their life in a warm family who would offer them unconditional love and respect.
Below are some images from the event.
